The first comment on this made me laugh. He types like THIS, because typing random WORDS in ALL caps makes HIM sound like he CAN hurt you, thereby GIVING him some SORT of feeling of intimidation.
He boils the issue of abuse down to physical harm only and not mental-emotional trauma... then again, given the type of person this comment has started to reveal, anything "mental" likely isn't high up on his list.
He then goes on to the author of the article for being black and supporting civil rights for gay people, as if that shames a race who has been fighting for it's own civil rights for almost 100 years now.
It's apparently now fine to take your kids to go through abusive and mentally damaging rituals as long as the kid is gay and the church approves of his mental shattering.
Also, apparently gay people have all gone through brainwashing, not conservatives, and that's why we're fighting so hard to keep our rights.
This author is also apparently despicable for even suggesting that conservatives are wrong, and this church has better morals than he would ever even imagine having.
Man, Satan, if this is how Heaven is, I'm gonna hang out at your place for a little while after I die.
