Yeah Seth MacFarlane was a student at the RI School of Design and made the show about life in Rhode Island. My town of Barrington is often used as a focus for it's lily white country club where on the show, people applaud and celebrate whenever a black person shows up. The Griffins speak with the typical local accent while Stewie speaks with the pseudo British accent used by the upperclass in Newport for example, learned at prep school, the Pewterschmidt family also speaks with this accent. If you know the State, every show is a goldmine of things to identify.   The real Providence skyline, the show's skyline. |
