Another video game thread, Lexi? Really? But we already have a few buried deep in the ocean of forgotten threads!
Well, that's too bad, cause I'm making a new one.

VIDYA GAME DISCUSSION THREAD

Right now I'm playing Devil May Cry 4. I thought I would be disappointed in the game in general due to the lack of Dante, but it's actually not too bad. It's fun crazy action, as expected from any Devil May Cry game (except for DMC2), and Nero is likable.
I think it would have been great if they had added the different fighting styles like in DMC3, but oh well.
I get sad every time I have to beat up Dante as a boss, though.

It tore me apart to see Nero punch his beautiful face repeatedly into the ground in that first chapter.
Anyway, the game is great so far, but I'm hoping that Dante will take the spotlight as the main character in the next one, though.

After I beat DMC4, I'm going to be playing either The Darkness or Arkham Asylum.
I'm leaning towards The Darkness, though. I played it for a little while and got multiple orgasms.

Borderlands is fantastic and I'm playing through crysis aswell. I'm excited for:

God of War 3
Bad Company 2
And I need to pick up the new ratchet and clank.

Arkham Asylum is great.  I've played through it on normal and hard, and got all of the Riddler Trophies, and got 84% of the PS3 trophies for the game.  Love Arkham Asylum

I didn't know Ratchet and Clank had a new game out?

Also: I hear a lot of people say that Arkham Asylum is a great game, but has little to no re-play value.

But, I'm an achievement whore, so I'll probably re-play it anyway.
Also also: Does the Arkham Asylum game have anything to do with Grant Morison's Arkham Asylum: A Serious house on Serious Earth comic?

I think part of it is that I've been fan-girling over Dante since DMC1.
But, yeah, action, hackin', slashin', shootin', and I like the overall rockin' style, although it gets a little corny sometimes. Though, even Dante can make corny things seem awesome.
DMC3 was awesome because OH GOD MY WRISTS
So fuckin' hard, but I love a challenge. I was never able to beat it on the hardest setting, but I will not be able to rest until I do......
Also: I was slumping on games too, until I played Bayonetta; then my faint in video games was restored. Maybe you should try it?

Edit: I should correct the above statement, I was losing faith in CONSOLE games. I fuckin' love my PSP.

I played Gears of War, but never finished it. What I did play was absolutely incredible. The game is just so much fun to play, especially with a friend who knows what he's doing. Haven't played Gears 2, hope Gears 3 actually tries to do something with the story. Not that it hasn't been good, but it just hasn't been very satisfying.
