I saw the green hornet in 3-D at the only movie theater up here, it was okay, but since I'm a volunteer it's only 5$ to see a movie so no waste of my cash. It's one of those movies that said all it's jokes in the trailer, and the rest is all explosions and fight scenes. The only reason I liked it was because I'm a fan of senseless action movies with no plot

(yes I think Clive Owen is a good actor...in the genre and style he does)

I thought the Green Hornet was ok, but only because Seth Rogen is one of my favorite actors and people, and that Clive was pretty good. The effects were fine, and I sort of got sad with the father-son symbolism in the film.

I saw "Law Abiding Citizen" today and it was pretty awesome. I"m not a big fan of Gerard Butler but I really liked him in this movie. There is this prison cell scene in the movie which is fucking brutal. I literally screamed at my TV saying "Fuck yeah".

My favourite part was when the judge answered her phone...

I recently watched I love you Phillipp morris with Jim Carry and The Last Exorcism. I love you Phillipp Morris was good but Jim Carry trying to do a southern accent killed it. The other guy in it Ewon McGreggor other then having a weird ass name was good in it. I always loved that little accent he has when he talks but had no idea it was because he was Scottish.

The last Exorcism was actually pretty good. Its about some preacher that thinks all exorcisms are bullshit and goes to give an exorcism to some girl and find out she really was possessed

Also you can never un see this

I am very entertained by that picture. Also I cannot imagine Jim Carey doing a southern accent. I just keep thinking of Ace Ventura.

I don't even....

Saw Battle: Los Angeles. Huuuurrr duurr huuurrrrr

Also Rango; Awesome and funny, especially if you can pick up on all the western movie references (there's also a reference to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in the beginning). Nice CGI too.

Also: Supernatural, should I watch it y/n?
I liked Buffy and I hear they're simular.

Oh yeah that part was hilarious, but I think anyone watching the movie saw that coming a mile away.

Hey Lexi, without giving away any spoilers, was Battle: Los Angeles any good? Looked kinda interesting to me.

@Kelly's post, I don't think I could ever watch a movie with my favorite childhood hero butt-fucking another guy. Why Ace, why?

I'm currently obsessed with the Japanese film Love Exposure. It really is the best four hour indie arthouse/romance/drama/exploitation/kung fu/religious/comedy/porno/satire I've ever seen.

Bump....Don't be afraid of the dark

So, my sister got passes for a pre screening, and I was excited, I love Del Toro's stuff, and this seemed pretty cool. Starts off promising, really creepy, crazy guy knocks his maids teeth out with a chisel, gets dragged into a furnace, fade out to present day and the most cliche plot ever... SPOILERS

Creepy child with divorced parents is sent to live in old house with dad and dads girlfriend. girl draws creepy shit a lot and dad says she is quiet. Girls see's little monster things, no one believes her for an excessive time, funally for the big atttack chase scene, everyone beleive her, people die, girl escapes blah blah blah<

Here is my first problem, Del Toro makes dark fantasy movies, and is known for making rather creep and odd fairies and goblins, and ensuring that nothing supernatural is cute or beautiful. But, what he makes, is never scary, just kind of creepy. The instant you see these things, you lose your fear of them. Kinda like Rat + Potato + Golum =

I actually laughed out loud at once point when they are swarming the little girl and she screams what do you want, and one of them shouts "WE WANT YOU!" and it's just pathetic.

All in all, kind of a crappy movie, and the first time I've really considered a Del Toro movie a waste of my time. I think he should stay out of horror and make hellboy 3 faster!

Awwh, kinda disappointed that Don't be Afraid of the Dark didn't turn out great, I was looking forward to that due to Del Toro.
...and at first I thought the title was "Are you afraid of the dark?" which was a horror show on Nickelodeon in the 90's, lololol.

Was Dead End the one with the hillbillies that never die? Like, they fall out of tries and get set on fire but they're still alive despite being normal hillbilly humans?

one i recently watched was a movie called "American East" about the lives of Muslims in post 9/11 LA. it's a really dramatic film, but really well done. i'd recommend it if you like heavy films you can only watch once every few years because of it's weight. (think Training Day or Requiem for a Dream.)
