Oh wow I was just flipping through the channels and saw this on CNN. Were the 80 something deaths just from the shooting? How the he'll did he manage to kill that many people with out anyone trying to stop him.
This one guy got on and was talking about what happened and he said after he was let onto the island they heard shooting and just thought it was a drill. Cause police just going around shooting with out announcing any issue

Guy has no previous criminal record, only something to do with traffic violations 10 years ago or something. He was dressed as a policeman and going out to the island where the youth meeting was. It makes sense that someone would come inform them so I suppose people didn't react to him going out there. Once he was out there its a small island with kids, who should have stopped him? The police obviously would take some time to get out there. People were reacting to the shooting though, people came out in boats and picked up kids who were trying to swim away from the island.
Current death numbers is at least 84 dead on the island and 7 dead in the bombing.

Well Kelly, this sort of thing doesn't happen in Norway too often (or Scandinavia in general). So leaving kids on an island seems safe.

 Facebook vote asking if Norway should reconsider our laws so he could get the death penalty. I sort of agree, I don't want him killed or tortured. |

Please take this into consideration, having someone locked up for their entire life (Norways "life-time" is usually about 22 years at max, while in Denmark it's 16 years) or just let them get away by killing them off instantly, NOT TO MENTION that we'd have to bend our strict rules for one single individual. That's not how it works.
Letting the guy suffer in prison, as much as possible, is another form of torture really and I think most people would preffer this.
Seems like a Dane died there too as far as I could figure out.
The guy even shot the people who were swimming away and what not. The guy blames all of this on video games, one being COD: MF2 and the other being WoW.
Sheesh if that's the case, how come I haven't killed thousands of people yet hurrr.
Also this guy took steroids, loads of em, months before starting this. |
