Here's the bullshit.

Essentially they want to stop teaching evolution in science classes and start teaching creationism. They use the term "evolutionary indoctrination", how retarded can you get?

The problem with the creationist argument is that they tend to see creation and evolution as two different theories on the same thing but the two are nowhere near comparable.

When you hear the word "evolutionism," it should raise a red flag. In my experience, I've only heard it used by the staunchly religious or the staunchly atheist (who are usually just as dumb). It suggests that there is an evolutionism, a static belief system fully committed to the teachings of it's Darwinian profit. When, in fact, the acceptance of evolution as a scientific truth is nothing more the the fact that it is currently the most likely answer considering the evidence. if evidence came out tomorrow that completely disproved evolution, Richard Dawkins and his faux-scientist followers would have to do a major flip-flop or they'd be up shit creek.

Creation, on the other hand, is not a scientific theory, no matter what evidence is pulled up in its favor, because it fundamentally contradicts the scientific method. It's not based on logical hypothesis but on preconceived notions from a 2400 year old book. it can't be changed according to evidence and anything found to support it is immediately affected by subjective bias.They could afford to take a leaf from bertrand russel's teeth.

Anyway, "Question Evolution" is a good campaign but these people will never know how ironic it is coming from them.

They won't succeed. (As of now) religion has to be kept out of public institutions unless it's a specific class/topic (i.e Jewish studies/a discussion on the book 'Inherit the Wind') or the school itself is religion based (Christian college/Catholic high school). Teachers aren't allowed to force their religious beliefs on their students and when I went to school talking about it was taboo anyway. I believe creationism, through their campaign is forced.

I'm so sick of the debate between the two, because it's narrow minded and retarded for people to impose creationism  and religious backgrounds on other people's children for the sake of their butt hurt feelings. Just like the government wanting to move its way into if I should be allowed to abort my babies, dammit.

the fact that we don't have answers to those questions yet makes christians believe they have the correct answers and that there is no need to keep exploring the world around us and try to better the human condition.  in my opinion, that called apathy. if everyone were to pray after a tragic even instead of acting on it, nothing would ever get done. science bore antibiotics, immunizations and an easily recognizable better way of life.  it's an easy out to say that "god" created all things and that's the end of the story. if you look back on history, we've proved that the earth isn't flat, and that the earth is more than six thousand years old through radio carbon dating. it makes me sad to see people living from a book so many centuries old and is never updated. in the biblical days, people didn't even have soap.
