They've played Hours Eastly quite a few times, and the intro into the show is usually the start of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNrTQTlJkeUThey're like a, ska/reggae/rock band from Florida I believe. I asked Brian directly who they were cause I loved the music. The other one you've probably heard in the show is their song 'Crickets of Jiminy', not on youtube unfortunately. Buy their CD Vol. 2, it's awesome.

he's played MGMT-Kids during break and for a show opening (iirc) and MGMT-Electric Feel for the segment when they were trying to see if Brandon could hit high notes.
Occasionally, he plays Stone Temple Pilots, most recently during episode 249's breaks (But he never plays Interstate Love Song, my favorite song by them)
Also in episode 249's break, he played some Soundgarden. Chris Cornell remains one of the best singers out there, in my opinion

I LOVE Hours Eastly and Diego Roots. Pretty much whatever Brian plays during the shows is my taste of music.
