Me and my friend (esmatic on the forum) are starting a clothing company and we need some help with the printing stuff.

I've made a few prints in photoshop and i need to get them en vector formate using Live Trace featured in Illustrator CS3 for the print but still keep the trancparency (no background). I can't figure out how to do it. Anyone here who can help?
